Sundays

St Laurence's Anglican, Kandos
Sundays usually find us attending church.  This week at our Kandos church for worship and warm friendship on a very chilly morning.

Reflection
Psalm 92:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.
"It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
proclaiming your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night."

  1. Quite a difference between this little church and St Andrews on George Street.

As I reach the final stage of my life, I am becoming more religious, but neither Christian, nor institutional. I guess just more humanitarian and awe-struck. I farewelled a brother earlier this year, and that had a big impact. And my grand-girls ask reflective questions about death and dying.

    Example ...

GG1 ... What can you do when you are dead?
Me ... Nothing. You are dead.
GG1 ... You can lie on the floor.
    Me ... Not deliberately.

I think she is ready for me to start to discriminate between the body and the soul. Which will be interesting, as I do not have a firm grasp on the soul ...

  2. Sorry to hear about your brother, you will miss him.

We still go to St Andrews about once a month. And while they are very different both are lovely in their own way.

Humanitarian is sad based on the conversation with your grand-girl. Awe-struck seems good. If you can open up to soul, it may lead you to Christ.
