Crimson Rosellas

Crimson Rosellas
This week's bird shot is another easy one to catch even though Rosellas are quite skitish.  These beautiful birds frequent all three of our gardens.  I found these this afternoon at Rose Orchard Haus.

    1. I occasionally find blue feathers and pick them up to use as bookmarks. Come to think of it I never find red ones. Must be because they are on a different part of their body.

  6. I love our local birds but these certainly make them look pallid by comparison. Even our beautiful gold finches aren't as striking. These are really beautiful.

    1. I have been posting 'big birds' lately because they easiest to photograph but I really like the small birds. I am sure I would love to see your gold finshes.

    1. Hi Sue, thanks for popping by. I am told red always makes a photograph pop and the fact that the sunlight was lighting the grass in the foreground was a bonus for this one.
