I have decided to rename my Friday "Vintage" posts to "Old Stuff" because it wasn't always Vintage. It was sometimes antique, classic, new masquerading as old or even just plain old junk. This place in Gulgong has a wonderful old fence with beautiful wisteria in bloom and heaps of old junk in the back yard.
It looks a fascinating backyard and the wisteria brightens up the old corrugated iron fence. It's probably helping to keep it up!
ReplyDeleteIt could be holding up. My Mum and Dad had an old shed in the backyard that was held up by a vine that had glorious yellow flowers on it at this time of year.
DeleteIt's a winner! The wisteria against the corrugated fencing is stunning.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why we like wonky corrugated iron fences in photographs but if it was our own backyard we would think it needs to be tidied up.
DeleteHow many 'Royals' do you have now? Fantastic collection.
ReplyDeleteTotal thus far 133. Found by Joan 98. Australian Royals by other contributors 31. International Royals by other contributors 13.
DeleteThe wisteria certainly softens the look of the fence. The junk looks like something of a nightmare to me.
ReplyDeleteThat junk reminds me of all of the junk at my parents home because my Dad ran an engineering works in the back yard. It was a nightmare to clean up but the scrap metal man did a fine job.
DeleteGood idea Joan Elizabeth.. the Wisteria here adds a certain charm to the old fence ✨
ReplyDeleteI dislike the way the wisteria along our driveway climbs the trees at Burnbrae. It is the the lovely spring display that saves it.
