The roses look exquisite. Mine aren't blooming yet. I have totally neglected them over winter but I'm now trying to lavish them with care and over-watering.
I could not get roses to grow in my mountain garden (not enough sun) so I am glad to have this one. I fed mine in early September and have watered when there was not enough rain. I will mulch once the leaves on the plethora of bulbs beneath the rose die back. Hoping this works and keeps them blooming. I didn’t get a lot after the October flush last year.
Exquisite beauty! My one 'happy' rose is no longer happy. I am tending it with loving care but I don't seem to be winning the battle. Thank you for sharing your beauties.
I know your pain. Tried to make roses grow in my mountain garden for years. Kandos seems to have the right soil and climate all the gardens have roses.
I love the assortment of colours. All the choosing of the previous owner. I am glad there are yellow ones, red ones, apricot ones .... ooo I just can’t pick a favourite colour.

DeleteThere is nothing quite as nice as the perfume from a vase of home grown roses, cultivated roses aren't quite the same 🌹
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately not many of these are strongly perfumed. If I had chosen them perfume would be number 1 priority.
DeleteYou've a wonderful display of roses Joan.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing the cut ones next to that pretty figurine as well!
The figurine is called “Spirit of Youth”. I need some of her spirit when weeding the rose beds 😀
DeleteAn abundance of beauty!!
ReplyDeleteYeh it is one of those #blessed things. The red ones on the other side of the path will come out soon to complete the display.
