Vineyards
Driving to Mudgee this week I noticed the vines are now beginning to sprout.
Reflection:
John 15:5 New International Version (NIV)
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit”
Definitely spring and very much later. I dislike visiting Qld any later than September because it is too hot and humid. We are still lighting the log fire in the evenings here.
I can't help but think of all the work that is involved in pruning them into such a regimental order. I like the bible verse you chose.
ReplyDeleteHadn’t thought of all the pruning, given the thousands of vines. My few fruit trees and roses do me in real fast.
DeleteIt will be bright green in no time. Some lovely wineries to be found in Mudgee. We've got quite a few wines cellaring from there.
ReplyDeleteI watched the Sam Niel doco the other night that was talking about the factors contributing to Australian winemaking success.
DeleteI loved around wine growing regions in California. They're always a pleasure to see.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the reasons I like driving around Mudgee.
DeleteA well-tended vineyard.
ReplyDeleteLove the perspective of the lines disappearing into the distance.
Wish my gardens looked as well tended😀
DeleteYou actually do have 'spring' and it is quite late in comparison to our temperatures.
