Drinking



  1. We end our short tour of Leura with this week's bird shot, a magpie taking a drink at the fountain outside one of the local restaurants.

    I have a magpie that comes to visit whenever I'm sitting at the window, sweet little visitor it is.. lovely capture here ✨

      I don’t notice magpies all that much. I guess I am wowed by the more colourful birds.

    I haven't seen a magpie in a while. I think the last time I saw one was in the mountains in California. This one is very showy for a black & white bird.

      This made me wonder if the Australian Magpies are the same as those seen in your part of the world. It turns out they are different species (not in the least bit related) though both known as Magpies.
