Pretty Purple
After lunch we boarded the ferry again and went to South Bank where the bougainvillea was also past its prime but we found some good spots still in magnificent flower on the walkway.
I don’t think this is actually purple, probably cerise or some other fancy name.
It´s very beautiful and maybe provides some shade, too.
ReplyDeleteYes they do provide some shade.
DeleteIt looks very pretty. I have found Bougainvillea can get out of control very quickly and you have to keep pruning it.
ReplyDeleteMy sister says that was the case in her garden. I have never had any in my gardens to know ... not the right climate.
DeleteOh wow! You can't beat bougainvillea en masse for a brilliant display of colour ✨
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with them when I lived in PNG for a short while.
DeleteQuite a vibrant colour!
ReplyDeleteYep. But what exactly is the colour?
DeleteVivid and beautiful, whatever you care to call the color.
ReplyDeleteI did a search. I think the colour is magenta and it certainly is vivid.
DeleteSuch a gorgeous colour... its well within my 'purple' range ;D)
ReplyDeleteThe web says any mix of red and blue is a purple.
