We have been up at the Katoomba Christian Convention Centre this weekend to attend the CMS Summer School. What a relief to have rain after a run of very hot days ... made it much easier to climb the hill. We are currently shrouded in mountain mist.
Reflection:
Ezekiel 34:26 New Living Translation (NLT)
"I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing."
What a change in weather from yesterday's extreme heat. I like the idea of "showers of blessing".
ReplyDeleteYes so nice to be able to sleep properly again.
DeleteOh, I love rain! And especially in hot weather!
ReplyDeleteOnly in hot weather for me. Cold rain is just miserable I reckon.
DeleteHappy New Year Joan Elizabeth. Have just been back to look at missed posts. Love the shot you picked for the theme, excellent choice. My son and family were so pleased to be enjoying the cooler Perth weather while Sydney sweltered 😀 but talking with them on Skype today they said there had been a huge storm in the morning.. and looks like we'll be heating up a bit this week, ah well, it is summer 😊
ReplyDeleteThe weather is a bit up and down. Lurching from very hot to almost cold enough to turn the heating on. Which isn’t too bad because as you say it is summer and we know it will get warm again quite soon.
DeleteWe used to go to a convention centre in the Blue Mountains. One year there was burnt bushland right up to the fenceline but when we were there it was raining and quite muddy. We were young so considered wading through mud an adventure ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt sure is muddy up there today. That’s Katoomba for you ... heat and fires or mist and mud.
DeleteThings look quite damp.
ReplyDeleteVery damp. But not torrential rain wet. Just slow and soggy.
