On a mighty hot day this week I was sitting on the deck in the shade of the house trying to get a little bit cooler from the breeze that tends to blow most days. I saw two or three birds soaring on the thermals but I was having a terrible time trying to catch them in my frame and getting the focus. Nonetheless I had a lovely time of gentle pleasure watching them enjoying the hot day.

Hmmm the blue sky, can't wait for it!
ReplyDeleteIt will be there waiting for you. Mind you with all of the heat we are hoping for clouds in our blue skies.
DeleteI spend most days photographing birds and trying to get the perfect shot! I've learnt a lot about birds in the process.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I don’t have the time to sit to get good shots but I try to give it a little time each week. Currently King Parrots are visiting our maples as they always do at this time of year but I have already shown King Parrots so that is too easy.
DeleteOftentimes as you say it's in the doing rather than the end result. Lovely way to while away time on a hot day ✨
ReplyDeleteYes it was lovely, a nice rest. The
DeleteVery different weather from what we have at present! I like that rock outcrop.
ReplyDeleteThe rocky outcrop are the cliffs on the mountain behind us.
DeleteVery pretty outcropping.
ReplyDeleteBirds in flight are tough. I almost never catch them.
They are so magestic, shame I missed them but at least the magestic rocks got a run.
DeleteIs that rocky outcrop a view from your verandah? My what a stunning back drop
ReplyDeleteYes the mountain with the rocks is the backdrop to the east.
