Summer blues

@ Burnbrae. Blue Mountains

No not sad, glad.  This is the view from my bedroom window at Burnbrae at the moment.  Agapanthus can be a bit weedy but I love them.

    1. There sure is so much that is characteristic of a mountain garden, so shady, soft and green, a long way from my hot sunny garden in Kandos.

  2. Lovely agapanthus, but how old is that tree with its massive trunk?

    1. The tree is enormous. My guess is that it is as old as the house 100+ years. The pines at the front of the house are 40 years old according to a neighbour who was around when they were planted and they are minnows compared to this tree.

    1. Yes it is a shady spot but I don’t sit there very often. I sometimes rest there when gardening and that is about it.

  4. Love agapanthus, so pretty and more importantly so hardy. Is that a tiny table and chairs I see to the bottom right?

    1. Yes table and chairs though not really tiny. The tree is huge. It even makes our very large house look like a cottage.

  5. What a gorgeous spot! It looks very inviting.
(Just an aside: Have you had an arborist look at those bottom two trunks on the right? The angle would worry me that they might not have proper growth support.)

    1. Crikey. Now you have me worried, anything to do with trees costs a fortune.
