I had even less success with the little wrens in the blackthorn - the camera kept focusing on the wrong thing.

Everyday delights in Penrith, Kandos in mid-western NSW and beyond
I have to say... your cam - against your will - made a special pic, I like the second one!
ReplyDeleteAnd, well, happens to me, too, my cam having other plans than I do ;-)
If only my camera could take what is in my mind's eye I would be a wonderful photographer.
DeleteI find the Willie Wagtails very hard to photograph as they are continually hopping around. They never seem to stand still. You did well to capture this one!
ReplyDeleteThey sure do hop about but he was calling all the time as well so I didn't lose him.
DeleteYour photos are lovely Joan. As Iris above commented, the second pic is special... I like how the Blackthorn flowers are the focus.
ReplyDeleteA sweet little bird and nice flowers in that shot. I am glad you like it.
DeleteLovely photos just the same. Wrens and Willie Wagtails are hard to photograph, they just don't sit still long enough for me!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know we are both in the same boat with these little ones.
DeleteIf my camera only listened to me better I'd have many more better focused shots. Maybe one day it will have a voice command for "NO! Not the branches! The bird! The bird!"
ReplyDeleteI love it ... looking forward to that tech development. Maybe we should take out a patent on the idea I am sure it will e a hit.
DeleteOh those Willy Wagtails, they are so zippy, most small birds are so difficult to catch. Not like the obliging kookaburra I snapped today ✨
ReplyDeleteThey still make pretty pics!
ReplyDeleteBirds are not at all compliant when it comes to staying still. You picked two of our most active feathered friends, so did very well capturing them at all. Love the Willy Wagtail.
ReplyDeleteI think they know we enjoy the chase.
