It's an image of eucalyptus trees reflected in a rain puddle on the walking path to Wentworth Falls.
Out in the bush the eucalyptus are "undressing" at the moment, with many varieties shedding their bark showing their clean yellow/pink/red flesh.
A poem for today
Flowering Eucalypt in Autumn by Les Murray
Lovely shot! Eucalyptus trees were brought to California; there was a small grove near my childhood home. It's one of my strong scent memories from growing up.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at the number of eucalyptus in California. Some of the varieties were from Western Australia where the trees have much showier flowers than we have in the east.
DeleteOh so loving your abstract view of beautiful eucalypts Joan... gorgeous :D)
ReplyDeleteI guess it is appealing to the artist in you.
DeleteLoooove puddle reflections Joan Elizabeth, this is a beautiful image 💛
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace. It is great to get out and about and look and see what turns up.
DeleteAwww, beautiful! And I can imagine the smell!
ReplyDeleteThe bush always have a lovely smell. Makes me feel alive.

ReplyDeleteNature did the creation ... I just had to notice it.
