The rosellas are now feasting on the sunflowers.

  1. They look like they're in sunflower heaven... I bet they go to bed with full tummies each night :D)

    1. Actually I have only seen them there a couple of times. There is plenty of other things for them to eat in the gardens at the moment with the fruit on the trees. I've seen them having fun in our pears and walnuts.

  2. Good top photo. Sunflowers seem easy to grow, if you have full sun. There was a segment on Gardening Australia last night about growing sunflowers. I didn't know they came in other colours than yellow.

    1. I just checked out that Gardening Australia segment as I don't watch the show very often anymore. I too didn't know they had different colours but knew they were of all different sizes ... my niece grows really really big ones.

    1. I am wondering if any of the less colourful birds will come for a munch.

  6. Wow, amazing capture, Joan! Our rosellas are targeting the tomatoes at the moment. No shortage of food for the fruit and seed eaters at the moment, that's for sure.

    1. They will get fat on the bounty around here but no tomatoes as you will in my post on Tuesday this week.

  7. Lucky you! Blackbirds came to eat my sunflower seeds. Nowhere near as colorful as your visitors.

    1. We have blackbirds visit this garden occasionally. Perhaps I will spy them having a munch too.

  8. What a wonderful garden you have. No wonder so many birds visit.

    1. This is of course just one of three gardens! Hence the diversity of images.
