Summer in the country

@ Over the road from Bunnings, Mudgee

We often take the drive from Kandos to Mudgee for the sheer delight of the drive, to visit the Bunnings store for bits and pieces to assist our renovation projects, and to have lunch at one of the many eateries.

I noticed and enjoyed this scene when coming out of Bunnings the other day. It was a little bit cooler so the cattle were happy to move away from the shade of the tree and the countryside is a beautiful green following recent rain.

A poem for today
Summer in the Country by Peter Skrzynecki.

    1. There are lots of views like that in this part of the country. I never tire of them though

  3. It was "cold" here on Saturday,I'm glad it warmed up.
This picture reminds me a bit of the blue Mountains, is that Eucalyptus or just my mind tricking me?

    1. Yes it is eucalyptus. Here we are in the tablelands just west of the Blue Mountains so an extension of similar country but with grassy plains as well as mountains.

  4. Love that view Joan Elizabeth, very different from the view I have when I come out of my Bunnings 😊

    1. Most Bunnings would have a bunch of other buildings around them. It’s nice to be in the country.
