Nearer the coast is beautiful green grassland rolling right to the sea cliffs.

At the seaside the stunted and windblown trees currently have banksias in flower.

Beautiful, all of it - enjoy your trip! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is a very pretty part of NSW.
DeleteHope you are enjoying your time on the beautiful South Coast.
ReplyDeleteHow could we not enjoy it!
DeleteIt looks nice and green there. We have just had some rain so things are greening up here too.
ReplyDeleteIt was looking a little bit dry (but still very green). I am sure the extra rain would have been welcome. Glad you are getting rain up your way.
DeleteOh so beautiful and serene Joan. You find the beauty of nature everywhere you travel :D)
ReplyDeleteI sure try - nature is such an eternal delight to me.
DeleteSometimes it's good to get out of our own garden and see nature at work.. revitalising 😉
ReplyDeleteIt has sure been good to get out of my own garden and not have to be constantly doing stuff which happens during the summer harvest.
DeleteLove the banksia flowers :) Enjoy the trip and beautiful nature.
ReplyDeleteThis particular variety is autumn flowering. I would find them in flower if I went for a walk in the mountains too.
DeleteLooks like you have found another lovely area to base yourselves.
ReplyDeleteThat was the plan. I know I prefer the south coast to the north so looked up the web and found a caravan park with a view that was not too far south. It has worked out great. What did we do before the web!
DeleteYour second shot particularly appeals to me. Place names travel- I lived in the countryside west of Toronto, and one of the nearby towns was called Milton.
ReplyDeleteThey do travel. I lived near a Milton in Queensland too.
DeleteNever heard of a Banksia flower.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
They are an Australian native flower, found by the seaside and in our bushland settings near the coast .. not in central Australia.
DeleteThe banksia looks vaguely familiar to me. I wonder if I've seen it in California.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. It looks like a beautiful area to visit.
California would have the right climate for it, just like it does for gum trees.
