When I posted the image of the Kandos Clock recently Kay said she would like to see more. Well here you go, this is the main street (Angus Avenue) viewed from the entrance to the town. The rotunda I showed recently is in a park at the left and way up the street you can see the clock.
I will try to take a photo walk up the street over the next few days to show what makes up our town.
I love country towns Joan Elizabeth, we regularly head out to York and Toodjay, two of my favorites. Kandos looks so pretty ✨
ReplyDeleteI have not been to either of those towns but I certainly enjoy staying in country towns when we are caravanning.
DeleteIt looks kinda "romantic".
ReplyDeleteThe mountain makes it's presence felt giving it a special charm.
DeleteVery tidy street!
ReplyDeleteThe whole town is quite tidy.
DeleteMy eyes are drawn to the high ground.
ReplyDeleteMine too. That is one of the reasons I love living here.
DeleteWhat a lovely wide, almost carless street.
ReplyDeleteIt generally has very few cars, other than near the supermarket. On Mondays there seem to be a lot more cars and I am yet to figure out why. It is not for example like the town I lived in as a kid when the pig and calf sales meant the town was busy on Friday.
DeleteThank you for this! What a beautiful little town. It looks like it could be in some parts of rural California though there's been so much growth that towns like this have become rare.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a long time before urban sprawl reaches these parts.
