When we were in the city on Friday Haig's Chocolate Shop at QVB still had lots of Easter merchandise to move.
Even though I love chocolate and was excited to have the Easter Bunny visit as a child, for me Easter remains an essentially religious festival. I have such happy memories of Easter celebrations over the years.
Reflection:
1 Corinthians 15:20-22 New International Version (NIV)"But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive."
Alleluia, Christ has risen.
Yes same here. It is all about the death and resurrection of Jesus for me too. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely and blessed Easter again this year.
DeleteEaster is such a special time and of great significance in the Christian calendar. Jesus suffered death upon the Cross so that our sins might be forgiven and we can go to heaven when we die. For me it holds the true meaning of being a Christian.
ReplyDeleteYes it is the pivotal point of Christianity - worth celebration. I hope you have a lovely Easter day.
DeleteHappy Easter Joan Elizabeth, must admit I don't eat chocolate these days, which is amazing since I used to be a chocoholic 😀
