It's coming
Autumn is coming - the first colour at Burnbrae is always the Virginia Creeper along the fence. When it turns red it is easy to see how much it has creeped to places where it should not be.
The early camellias are also beginning to flower now.
Beautiful, both.
ReplyDeleteAfter blogging my garden for about 10 years it is lovely to watch for things to return each year.
DeleteI feel Autumn is late in coming this year. Our Liquidambar has only just started to show signs of the leaves turning red.
ReplyDeleteI seems to be about 2 weeks later than usual. It isn't cold enough for good colour. Will be a big shock when the cold weather does arrive.
DeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteI think so so, even though it should not be in the part of the garden.
DeleteCamellias are another flower that we have here in spring. It's interesting to see that things are flipped in the southern hemisphere.
ReplyDeleteHere Sasanqua camellias flower in Autumn. The other types tend to flower in winter. I guess if there was winter snow that would push things out.
