It is a shame the image is not clear but I was very excited to capture this one. I believe it is a spotted pardelote. I have not seen one before. I was mowing the grass when I could hear the twitter of birds and was surprised to see a whole flock of tiny birds hopping around the grass. I managed to grab this photo at a distance later in the day. They have not returned since.

The yellow stands out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteYes it does but also I like his/her spotted head.
DeleteIt is always exciting to capture a new bird. I had a flock of galahs at my birdbath today and was able to grab a photo. I have not seen a spotted pardelote.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seem galahs in my mountain garden for a while. In fact I have not been close enough to one to get a shot since I started this blog in July last year. Must try and fix that.
DeleteQuite photogenic!
ReplyDeletePhotogenic but a shame the photographer wasn't up to it.
DeleteIt looks like a cutie. I hope you see it/them again and have more chances to take snaps.
ReplyDeleteI would love to. There are was tiny red breasted bird in the garden this afternoon but had disappeared before I could grab my camera.
DeleteThe small birds are so hard to snap Joan Elizabeth, you can see its colours though, and the pattern on its head, lovely ✨
ReplyDeleteYes they are hard but will keep persisting.
DeleteNice to see, looks so cute :)
