Now for our second garden. Autumn at Rose Orchard Haus (our Kandos garden) doesn't put on a grand display but there are pockets of beauty. The little walnut is looking pretty and the citrus is beginning to ripen.
The big walnut seems to just drop its leaves. But there are other spots of pretty colour. Like the Apricot's golden shower.
These bronze leaves on the plum.
And these yellowish fronds - I don't know the name of this plant.
Lots of beautiful colour. I'd be worried about all the citrus though, because in our garden the cockatoos would soon get into them and leave a mess of rotting, half eaten fruit under the tree.
ReplyDeleteFortunately the cockatoos here stick with eating the walnuts, I have never seen them near the citrus trees. Just tiny birds frequent the citrus and don't cause any damage.
DeleteThat last one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThey also look very pretty in a vase of flowers. However, the apricot is my favourite.
DeleteHow lovely to have all these fruit trees, especially those that change colour.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is nice. Before we left the pears we beginning to change colour too.
DeleteYou have some beautiful trees.
ReplyDeleteI always feel grateful for the people who planted them so many years ago. I would like to add some more at Kandos, the Blue Mountains garden already has enough trees.
DeleteBig wow! I love the second one with the table and chairs especially. Looks like hours of chatty fun! :-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy sitting at that table. It has a lovely view across the garden to the big mountain behind the house. Cool in summer, warm in winter and ever so pretty in Spring.
DeleteI too loved the gorgeous table and chairs under the walnut tree Joan Elizabeth, there are so many shades of green, yellow and gold.. looks so pretty 🍁
ReplyDeleteAnd that table and chairs is just a short step from my studio also in that image. I am still setting up the studio.
