Life in the Village 6 - Grocery Shopping

We have reached the busy part of town where there is a well presented and well stocked IGA Supermarket.  It might not be a Coles or Woolworths but it is certainly great to have a good supermarket in town.

Over the road is Coopers Country Meats which sells locally grown meat.

  1. I´ve been in an IGA in Perth :-)
Well, looks like you have all you need there and local meat sure is a very good thing to have.

    1. IGA (which stands for Independent Grocers Association) is typically what you will find in country towns and parts of the city that Coles and Woolworths don't want to service.

  2. It looks like a good place to live. What about doctors and medical centres?

    1. I wonder if IGA stands for the same thing as in Australia. Here is it Independent Grocers Association.

  4. Like Shirley Evans, I wonder how well you're served with medical care. Though we have a small hospital we have a shortage of doctors here.

  5. IGA are everywhere, almost in every suburban shopping centre.. as you say Joan Elizabeth, wherever Cole's and Big W don't want to go ✨
