Life in the Village 7 - Op Shops

I am told that Op Shops thrive in country towns and we are no exception, there is a busy Vinnies over the road from the supermarket and a Community Shop further down the street. Being in the process of downsizing I have become a regular contributor to Op Shops rather than a buyer so have never been into Vinnies.

Another interesting shop in this part of town is the Laundromat.  I don't think they are all that common these days.

  1. Op Shops (as in second hand shops?) are common here, too, as Laundromats, I know of at least two here. I am glad, though, we have a washing machine.
When travelling Australia we visited heaps of Laundromats :-)

    1. Yes second hand shops. It seems there may be more laundromats than I imagined in Australia.

  2. Laundromats are excellent when you are travelling. It is just so great to have somewhere you can go and wash your clothes. I never go to op shops, but I have, at times, donated items they can sell.

    1. When I a travelling we stay in caravan parks where there are laundries so I have not had to go in search of laundromats very often.

  3. I always seem to be in catch up mode. It's been a wonderful, virtual visit to your lovely Kandos.

  4. Laundromats are still plentiful here.
