I thought I would end the Autumn series by taking you on a tour of the windows at the back of Burnbrae to give you an idea of why this season is so special at this home.

I am currently sitting in the lounge room by a log fire while watching the play of the evening light on the maple leaves through this southern window ... bliss.
Beautiful wherever you look! And a real log fire must be good, too, if well supervised (my Brother once let me "sleep" in their living room with such a fire, I could no, stupid me!).
ReplyDeleteLog fires are really quite safe provided you make sure there are no logs that can fall from the fire, especially when you go to bed at nighttime.
DeleteSuch wonderful views from your windows. Autumn is such a special time. Still some time left before all those leaves are off the trees!

DeleteWhat a joy to see autumn from so many windows. The log fire is difficult to imagine, as our temperatures are still in the mid twenties.

DeleteYes. I have seen lovely images of the snow falling. Your cold is coming our way at the weekend,but we have no fireplace.
DeleteHow lovely to have autumn colours in all your windows. We don't have the colours but we don't need a fire.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure the fire is going to be enough today. Winter has arrived in a rush so will probably have to fire up the central heating tonight.
