We are now getting lots of misty mornings at Kandos. Many times the mountains are shrouded. As they day moves on they peep through.
A book I have read recently
The next one on the Australian list, The Year of Living Dangerously by Christopher J Koch. Despite its interesting title I struggled with this book. It's the story of a journalist in Indonesia in 1965. The viewpoint is masculine, expatriate and newsman and I guess that is what didn't appeal to me even with a bit of romance thrown in. There is some lovely description of Indonesia (albiet through western eyes).
ReplyDeleteI love fog (if not driving a car, that is!).
Oh, thanks for the reminder, I´ll take my kindle to the interview in case I have to wait. It sounded interesting, too (FBI-cases), but it´s written so boring...
I hope the interview goes well.
DeleteBeautiful scenery (although I do not like fog or mist).
ReplyDeleteI rather like it provided there are not too many days in a row and is mist rather than fog. It makes for lovely photographs.
DeleteFoggy weather makes for magical images Joan Elizabeth, love the mountain rising majestically up through the mist ✨
ReplyDeleteI love the way mist gathers in the mountain valleys. As for this mountain rising the mist it reminds me of seeing Mt Fuji appearing through the Tokyo smog which happened just one day in the month I was there.
DeleteI do like that misty view.
ReplyDeleteMisty = mysterious.
DeleteOur mountains are frequently cloaked in mist and overcast, too. I miss them if they're gone too long.
ReplyDeleteOurs are only covered in mist in the morning. I too would feel cheated if they didn't appear sometime during the day.
