Here's an Elvis on door of the Royal Hotel. Some of you will know that when I travel in the country I photograph Royal Hotels for my collection. I was even interviewed on this quirky habit by the ABC once. (BTW they got my name wrong)
There are quite a few Royal Hotels in this area but I have travelled these parts before so didn't discover any new ones.
There's a Royal Hotel in Springwood. I may have mentioned this before.

DeleteI just did a search to see if we have one here and I realised that I drive past it all the time. I have never taken any notice of the name before. LOL!
ReplyDeleteYes I have the one on Toowoomba. It’s a rather plain ugly one. I found quite a few Royals in the towns in your area. The one at Harrisville is particularly pretty.

ReplyDeleteI would be surprised if they are not in Canada. There are apparently a lot of them in South Africa and England according to people who have responded to my blog.
