Theme day: Red

Today I am participating in the City Daily Photo theme day.  Thinking of Red in this part of the world it's hard to go past the beautiful plumage of King Parrots.

And in the forest majestic red Waratah flowers will be coming out soon.

    1. It was a toss up between the King Parrot and the Crimson Rosellas. But the red on the King Parrot is a little more vibrant so I chose that one.

    1. When I think Australia I think the colour of eucalypts or the red centre. I was going to dig up a photo of the desert to use then decided I should stick closer to home, hence this choice.

  10. I had a flock of King Parrots visit us on our deck last Sunday, so nice for the first day of Spring. They are very tame and allowed me to get quite close to take a photo.
