New path I laid beside our desk at Rose Orchard Haus |
Happy New Year.
I hope have had a lovely Christmas, are safe from the fires and the New Year finds you eager to enjoy all that is in store.
Here the grass is as dry as it was in winter/spring so there has been no mowing and no fruit either (the fruit shrivelled and dropped). This has meant a very relaxed, hot, dry summer because even the weeds are not growing. The bushfires have been keeping their distance thus far. The closest is to our bush block at Clandulla where we have put in a lot of effort cleaning up the dry grass, leaves and sticks in case things get close.
During my blog break I have been thinking about what to do and have decided to take a new path this year. Instead of this traditional blog I will be posting regularly to Instagram with perhaps an occasional post here. Maybe I will see you over Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/mybrightfield/
Glad the fires are not near you. Have a wonderful New Year.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year! I hope you continue to stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, happy new year. I hope you still post here sometimes. I don't have an Instagram account but I might think about getting one.
ReplyDeleteI have decided to post every week or so. Instagram doesn't cater for long story telling.
DeleteI love your path, leading to a new year! Best wishes for a year that is healthy and fulfilling.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed the fire stays away, or better, gets under control. A Happy New Year to you.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about you a lot Joan Elizabeth, with the grandchildren staying it has been impossible to find any spare minute. I'm so happy to hear all is well so far with you. Breaks my heart to think of the beautiful Blue Mountains on fire. I will have to open an Instagram account, hopefully you will pop in here now and then also. Here's wishing you the very best for 2020 xox
ReplyDeleteYep. I have decided Instagram is not my full cup of tea so will be posting here occasionally as I have done with an update on the fire situation today. In the mountains it has largely been kept to the wilderness areas and once there is rain the recovery is amazing. I hope I can capture some of that for you.
DeleteI think I will probably ask to be removed from the City Daily Photo portal however since most of what I write is domestic or travels.
