As a happy and content person I am also quite pessimistic. Back at the end of August when I posted the daffodils I said "It isn't looking hopeful for tulips this year". Now look at what is in the garden!
It's easy to be super happy when expectations start low.
How amazing! I've never been able to grow tulips.
ReplyDeleteThey would only flower one year for me in the mountains with perhaps just one or two flowering a second time. The white ones in the pot were bulbs I planted this year so we will have to wait and see on those. The pink ones were planted in the garden by the previous owner and seem to be doing well as they have multiplied year on year. It is frostier at Kandos so that probably helps.
DeleteNice work! Love tulips.
ReplyDeleteI like tulips too but, as per my note above, have mixed success with them. I dream of my own mini Floriade but know it will never happen. For a start, the different bulbs don't flower simultaneously if they choose to flower at all.
DeleteThat's so good.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too.
DeleteWhat a delightful surprise. I love the pinks.
ReplyDeleteThe other surprise was that the three other tulips in the pot turned out to be dark pink. They came out a week later.
