Books

I don't read as much as I used to.  It is as if news and TV have stolen my mind since COVID. I mean for this to change so went for a drive to Sofala (an old gold town about 50 kms away) because they have a great second hand bookshop with good Australian and classic literature sections. I left all stocked up.

Are you hoping to do something new/different this year?

  1. I have joined a U3A class in creative writing and hope to renew my interest in writing. I have attended one class already, but do not seem to have the same enthusiasim I once had. Maybe, I'll take up reading again. There are so many books I would love to read.

    1. I have found my enthusiasm for creative writing has dropped too. Your comment got me thinking about whether writing will be taken over by robots soon. See this week's post for my verdict.

  2. I wish I could find more time to do all the things I enjoy. Hiking, blogging and photography take up so much time and I love every minute. Reading, crocheting, painting and family history have to take a back seat.

    1. So many enjoyable things and so little time now we are retired! It's best to be doing the things we enjoy most, as you are.

  4. I love visiting second hand book stores. I am hoping to go on a road trip and love visiting nature reserves and gardens, and book stores :)
