Transition

My garden at Rose Orchard Haus is beginning to transition to spring. We have been having glorious weather in the past week, perfect for doing the first mow of the season, tidying up the garden beds and sitting back to enjoy the flowers as they emerge.

  1. Yes it is warm here too but the ground is rock hard as it is so dry. I feel sorry for our Carnival of Flowers gardeners. Rain would be so nice.

    1. It is getting drier around our way too but a little rain every now and then helps.

  3. We went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Auburn Botanic Gardens last week. It was lovely to see the Cherry Blossoms and all the Spring flowers. I haven't noticed any Cherry Blossoms in Penrith.

    1. I haven't seen any cherry trees in Penrith either. There are pears and prunus in flower around Thornton.

    1. I do enjoy it but spring dribbles along rather than coming through with a big wow like my mountain garden used to do.

  5. Enjoy the colourful transition. A thunderstorm this week brought us a much needed 22 mls.

    1. We had a thunderstorm here the other night too. It was a surprise as it seems like ages since I last heard thunder.
