It was quite a while between my visits to Queensland until our winter trip this year. The years have a way of flying away and it all gets too much trouble when we get older. The only thing that pushed me into it was visiting family.
Great photo! Its good to go to the city occasionally, but its a bit far to Sydney for us and a long time since we were there. We do go into Adelaide occasionally and it is always changing.
Depending on how long it is since you visited Darling Harbour you will find lots has changed. The Harbourside shopping centre is in the process of being demolished before being rebuilt! There is a new W hotel where the old iMax theatre was. And lots and lots of shops down what was once the dreary end towards Haymarket. It is nothing like what it was only a few years ago.
A refreshing sight. Not many tourists about at this time.
