After the beautiful spring flush of roses the next job is deadheading so more flowers will come back to replace them. I had to chop of hundreds and hundreds of them, quite a job.
The red ones along the path flower later than the rest so are still looking good.
I love roses but the dead heading can be a bit tedious but well worth it to get the new blooms.
ReplyDeleteI have finished nearly all the deadheads from the spring flush today. It is easy from now on because there are never as many roses in flower at the same time as in spring.
DeleteThey are beautiful and flowering for so long.
ReplyDeleteWe had masses of roses for about a month. They will mostly spot flower from now on right through to the winter frosts.
DeleteIf only roses would grow this well in SE Queensland, I would happily dehead. I've been busy deheading my pansies everyday. It seemed for nought until the storms came.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
