Round and Round
Like the petals of a dahlia my life seems to go round and round doing the same things at the moment, though the end result is nice. I will only be popping in at the beginning of each month for a while.
It has been a good year for dahlias. The rain came at the right time.
Our dahlias have liked the recent rain as there are heaps of them flowering in the front garden. We must have hundreds of bulbs in the ground that my hubby has planted over the past 47 or so years. He just leaves them there unlike some people who dig them up. Chel
Our dahlias have done well this year. We planted them when we first moved here three years ago and we keep the bulbs in the ground so they multiply and pop up every year.
That is the nice thing about them, the way they pop up each year. I am thinking of planting some more in the gaps. A planted some and it took a couple of years for them to flower well. Having rain also helps.
Yes they are from my garden but there is nothing clever about it. The previous owner planted them and they pop up and flower each year provided I don't let them die of thirst.
The dahlias are beautiful. I hope all is well with you and look forward to your monthly posts.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosie. A month has ticked over so I am back again.

ReplyDeleteAll but a few of mine were planted by the previous owner and I too leave them in the ground. Digging things up is much too much fuss for me.

DeleteBeautiful, especially the first single dahlia.
ReplyDeleteI think dahlias always deserve close inspection. They are such beautiful symmetrical flowers.
DeleteThey are beautiful. Did you grow them yourself clever girl?
