Gold seeking drive 4 - Donkeys

After our failed search for donkeys on Palm Sunday I had to grab a shot of these seen at the small town of Wattle Flat even though there is no gold in the shot.

    1. I think they were hoping for a treat from me. They came over to the fence to say hello.

  2. Aren't they sweet. I often wonder if donkeys deserve their reputation as stubborn creatures 😊

    1. I don't know, I suspect these are pets who have not been asked to do a day's work in their life.

  4. Donkeys are cute - and helpful. I recently read the book "Flash: The Homeless Donkey Who Taught Me about Life, Faith, and Second Chances". If I lived in the country I guess I´d have a donkey :-)

    1. Haven't heard of that book and I know I would not have a donkey or any other animal for that matter ... too much responsibility.

  5. The donkeys look like sweet animals. You are right, it is a big responsibility to look after an animal. We've had animals in the past, but I wouldn't want one now. They tie you down! I love animals, but I think it is cruel to have one if you can't be there for it.

    1. With our itinerant we can afford to be tied down. I love cats but they give me hayfever.
